YAY FOR CROCHET!
Starburst baby blanket
Like this pattern? Take a look at the other ones in my shop.
This blanket is a great way to use those random balls of yarn that you never quite found the perfect project for. I would recommend using 200g of DK yarn for a blanket that measures around 1m.

Use any kind of yarn with a corresponding hook.
Tension is not critical for this pattern.

Pattern notes:
This blanket is created in the round, so join with a slip stitch at the end of each round.
In round 2 the sl sts count as sts so are included in the stitch count.
Blocking is recommended for this pattern.

Ch5, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: 3ch, 19tr into ring. Join. (20)
Rnd 2: sk st, *[3tr, 3ch, 3tr] into same st, sk st, sl st, rep from * 4 times. (50)
Rnd 3: 1ch (counts as a st), *3tr [2tr, 3ch, 2tr] into ch sp, 3tr, 1dc, rep from * 4 times, join. (70)
Rnd 4: 1ch (counts as a st), *5tr [2tr, 3ch, 2tr] into ch sp, 5tr, 1dc, rep from * 4 times, join. (90)
Rnd 5: 1ch (counts as a st), *7tr [2tr, 3ch,2tr], into ch sp, 7tr, 1dc, rep from * 4 times, join. (110)
Keep making the blanket by repeating the rounds. The number of tr will go up by two each round (see the purple figure) and the number of stitches will go up by 20 each round.
Rnd 6: 1ch (counts as a st), *9tr [2tr, 3ch,2tr], into ch sp, 9tr, 1dc, rep from * 4 times, join. (130)
